I believe two things strongly about learning.

  1. Learning is hard. It should be. If it comes easy then we’re probably not learning more than surface-level information.
  2. The best way to ensure that you’ve learned something is to try to teach somebody else what you’ve learned.

I thought it might be interesting to combine the two beliefs and learn hard things on a regular basis. Then write about that learning in a way that may help others who are interested in the same areas.

One of my favorite sayings is “Have Fun, Be Good and Learn Something”. It’s a motto I’ve used over the years and is something I pass along to everybody that I can. From time to time I expect to have a few of those people write guest posts about their most recent lessons learned.
